[ it has been so long since Rook felt free like this. felt like he could laugh without a care, could strip down to skin and not feel heavy eyes on his skin. Jiho isn't like that, but he still cares. so much. more than anyone else. Rook never questions that, hasn't in a long while. so when Jiho strips down, bares long lean lines of pale skin, Rook focuses on the laughter that spills from his lips, the happiness that is curling at the corner of his eyes.
that is beautiful to him.
(Jiho is beautiful to him, always, any way. stripped bare like this in the ocean breeze or covered in blood or an oversized hoodie.)
Rook could vanish out of his pants, could just appear in the water with a thought, but that's too much like cheating. the demon might trip over his pants with a laugh as he tries to catch up to Jiho, his shout of betrayal at the jeans clinging to his ankles.]
I knew I should have worn my other pants! [ you know the other ones, the ones that aren't really anything at all. ] Never should have said dessert!
[ he is still laughing as he splashes into the water behind Jiho though, wrapping an arm around his waist and swinging the assassin around with his smile pressed against the curve of Jiho's neck.]
