[ that is a sound that Rook is going to aim to hear a lot more of, especially now that he knows of her enjoyment with art. this is something that he has a lot of experience in, thanks mostly to his long existence and abilities.]

Mmm, I am fond of sculptures myself actually. I have... well I might have a few of the great missing ones hidden away, along with some interesting sketches of famous paintings before they became famous. Also, uh, jewelry. Though you might have figured that one with how often I wear it. I miss some of the old Persian styles...

[She makes a noise at the back of her throat. He has missing art in his collections. Paintings. Jewelry. The jewelry he's been wearing is fine art?]

Is it easy to get to your collections? Could I come see the sculptures and the jewelry sometime? Please?

Uh, we will have to dress warm to see some of the really old literature though, keep that in the really cold, dry part of Russia.

When all of this Valentine's Day and New Year celebration stuff is over, let's pick a day and go. Wherever you want to show me first. I'm certain I'll want to see it all but you know what you have best so...you can decide what we see first?

Eun's always been aware that she's more than she presents to people, but she never expected Rook to have such hidden depths. It seems a shame she almost missed out on it...]

Mmm, that sounds like a plan, darling. Do you prefer paintings, sculptures, or artifacts more? Most places are a mixture but-- there are a few that are more heavily weighted towards one kind of art over the other. Oh! There is also a ... well not a library, but close enough.

[The idea of going to a library certainly perks her up further, and her curiosity is piqued but...]

I love it all, but why don't you take me to the paintings first. The ones that move you the most. Though you should be warned I'm bringing a folding stool or chair or something just in case...

[She doesn't know if there's seating where he has everything set up, but there have been pieces of art that have spoken to her, reached into her very soul and tugged at that nameless part of her spirit. There was a Monet piece she sat in front of for an hour once at the Smithsonian, when she went with her high school back East.]

Paintings first then, do you have a time period that you prefer? Or an artist? I mean, I don't have everything obviously but-- there are certain places with more of certain things. I... uh. I collected a lot of the the last two thousand years or so...

[ does he sound kinda awkward about that? maybe a bit. art is one of the things that made his whole punishment as a demon kind of worth while. beauty and expression in that way soothed him in a way. ]

Impressionists. [That much is easy.] I love impressionist art, and things with rich colors and contrast. Things with movement or feeling...

[For her, it's not a time period or a certain country. It's not a specific artist even. It's about the piece and what it makes her feel, and for Rook to have collected so much over the years she thinks it could be the same for him. At least in part. Pieces that moved him instead of just collecting for the sake of collecting.

His collections are a labor of love and passion, she thinks. Not of acquisition.]
